This was our first stay at Oaker Farm & we loved it so much that I’m sure we will return! It’s such a gorgeous location & the cottage is delightful & very thoughtfully fitted out. We had a fabulous holiday & enjoyed the incredible weather.
We really enjoyed meals out at the Cheshire Cheese, a lovely lunch at Losehill Restaurant, pizza at Ye Olde Nag’s Head in Castleton, The Curry Cabin in Hope & delicious salads from Coleman’s deli in Hathersage.
We had terrific walks up Lose Hill, Win Hill, Mam Tor, Stanage Edge, Padley Gorge and Ladybower reservoir. The kids loved the swings, slide and trampoline.
It was a perfect stay in your idyllic cottage. We look forward to returning!

There is so much choice for lovely walks here – definitely Lose Hill to Mam Tor, and Hope cross to Win Hill – but also more leisurely options like the riverside walk from Bagshaw Bridge down to Hope (lots of bluebells), through the Chatsworth Estate from Baslow, and from Millers Dale to Chee Dale.
Cafe Adventure does great coffee (Hope) but also (local food delivery service) is worth exploring.
Could easily spend a month exploring all the local walks.

What a stunning area. Lovely walks of different levels & abilities. Quiet hilltops & busy villages. Eyam was so interesting, Chatsworth was gorgeous.
The Cheshire Cheese down the lane does lovely food.
The reservoir is a long flat walk with amazing scenery. Get out, go walk! it’s beautiful.

Review left on Facebook – ‘My boyfriend and I went for a last minute romantic getaway and after hours of searching online we found Haddy’s Hut! Wow! It is just utterly unique and utterly wonderful! The attention to detail and finishing touches surpassed anywhere else I’ve ever visited, I simply could not fault it. Thank you to Julie for creating this magical little haven with a fantastic pub just a 15 minute walk down the road too! We will return that’s for sure.’

Review left on Visit Peak District – “Excellent” A well equipped, warm and cosy cottage surrounded by amazing countryside, with walks from the door – and the wi-fi is brilliant too!

We cannot fault our stay at Haddy’s Hut. The attention to detail did not go un-noticed and we will be highly recommending to our friends. We have had a magical + perfect start to the year. Thank you.

Review left on Tripadvisor – This is quite simply our favourite place. The most wonderful location. The cleanest cottage we have ever stayed in. The deepest sleeps we have ever had. There are fresh herbs growing in pots outside the front door; a wonderful golden labrador plodding around; sheep and lambs (if you’re lucky) everywhere.
